National conference for associational missionaries set for June in Anaheim, Calif.

The Southern Baptist Conference of Associational Leaders will meet June 12-13 in Anaheim, Calif., two days prior to the SBC annual meeting.

The conference will be at the Sheraton Park Hotel at Anaheim Resort, a five-minute walk from the Anaheim Convention Center where the SBC annual meeting will be held June 14-15.

Ray Gentry, president of the Southern Baptist Conference of Associational Leaders, said the theme will be “Pursuing Love and Good Works, based on Hebrews 10:24.

Lifeway President Ben Mandrell will kick off the meeting by preach during a Sunday worship service at 9:30 a.m. on June 12.

Other speakers over the two-day meeting include Gateway Seminary President Jeff Iorg, NAMB Assistant to the President for Convention and Associational Relations Rick Curtis, Guidestone President Hance Dilbeck, NAMB Vice President of Resources and Research Trevin Wax, and First Baptist Church Pastor Steve Viars who wrote Loving Your Community.

Gentry said several workshops will be led by skilled practitioners to better equip associational leaders, including Will Mancini, Rob Peters, Mike Carlisle, Daryl Price, and others.

The Southern Baptist Conference of Associational Leaders was founded in 1960 and is the oldest and largest associational leader network in the Southern Baptist Convention with nearly 500 members.
