Daryl Glen Price entered the presence of his Lord and Savior on July 19, 2026, after a courageous seven-month battle with cancer.
Born in Waynesboro, Georgia, to William and Mary Price, Daryl was raised in Evans, Georgia. He attended Augusta College before answering God’s call to ministry and earning his Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. While in seminary, he married the love of his life, Kim, beginning a marriage marked by unwavering love, faith, and partnership in ministry. Together they were blessed with two children, Will and Hannah, who brought him immeasurable joy.
Throughout his life, Daryl was a builder. God called him to help build churches, strengthen pastors, and invest in people, but he also built friendships, served his neighbors, and created a home where his family was deeply loved.
Daryl devoted his life to serving Christ and His Church. He began his ministry as a church planter apprentice with the Home Mission Board, helping plant Hunter Road Baptist Church. He later served church planters through the Georgia Baptist Convention before continuing that work with the South Carolina Baptist Convention in the areas of church planting and church revitalization. Most recently, Daryl faithfully served the Noonday Baptist Association of Churches in Marietta, Georgia. He also served as an elder at Eastside Baptist Church, investing faithfully in the lives of others.
Those who knew Daryl knew his greatest passion was making disciples and encouraging others to make disciples. He loved serving the Church, caring for people, and pointing others toward Christ. Whether through preaching, mentoring, or simply walking alongside someone in their faith, Daryl’s life reflected his deep love for the Lord and his desire to see others grow in Him.
Outside of ministry, Daryl embraced life with enthusiasm and adventure. If it had a throttle, he enjoyed it. He loved construction and working with his hands, finding joy in building and fixing things that would serve others. He was always ready to help a friend or neighbor with a project, never asking for anything in return. His quick wit and wonderful sense of humor kept those around him laughing, and his genuine kindness made people feel welcome and valued. Daryl truly lived life to the fullest, giving his whole heart to both his family and his calling. One of his greatest joys in recent years was becoming “Papa” to his two precious grandchildren. Every moment spent with Millie and Liam was treasured, and they quickly became the delight of his heart.
Daryl is survived by his beloved wife, Kim; his son, Will (Shelby); his daughter, Hannah; his cherished grandchildren, Millie and Liam; his mother, Mary; his brothers, Mitchell (Lisa), Wendell (Kathy), and Tere; his sisters, Marlene (Kevin) and Tammie (Jimmy); and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Price.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 22, from 7:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m. at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta, Georgia. A celebration of Daryl’s life will be held on Thursday, July 23, at 10:30 a.m. at Eastside Baptist Church in Marietta, Georgia, followed by a graveside service at 4:00 p.m. at Westover Memorial Cemetery in Augusta, Georgia.
Though our hearts grieve his absence, we rejoice in the sure hope of the Gospel, knowing Daryl is whole, healed, and at peace in the presence of his Savior, whom he faithfully served throughout his life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Noonday Baptist Association.
