Bethany Brady steps into dual VP role
Shorter University is pleased to announce the appointment of Bethany Brady as Interim Vice President of University Advancement, a role she has accepted in addition to her current duties as Vice President of Enrollment Management & University Relations.
Bethany began her higher education career as an Admissions Counselor at Hiwassee College in 2013 before joining Shorter as Assistant Director of Admissions in 2016. After stepping away to welcome her daughter and care for her family, she returned to The Hill in 2021 as University Registrar in what she describes as a God-filled story. She was promoted to VP of Enrollment Management & University Relations in April 2025 and, in May 2026, added the Interim VP of Advancement role while the University conducts its search. She is also completing her doctorate in Strategic Leadership this July.
Bethany’s ability to build meaningful relationships, her genuine care for the people she serves, and her deep dedication to Shorter’s mission make her an invaluable part of this community and a true reflection of the leadership she strives to embody.
Outside of campus, Bethany is wife to Landon, whom she will celebrate eleven years of marriage with this August, and the proud mom of Addi, age eight, and Carter, age five. The Brady family calls Northpointe Church in Adairsville, Georgia, home.
