ROME, Ga. — The Ben and Ollie Brady School of Nursing at Shorter University hosted its annual White Coat Ceremony in Brooks Chapel on Sept, 18, recognizing the junior class of nursing students as they begin their clinical education.
The event marked a pivotal milestone for 17 students who received their white coats, a symbol of dedication to compassionate patient care and professional integrity. Faculty members participated in the donning of the coats, reinforcing the support and guidance students will receive throughout their nursing journey.
The ceremony featured reflections on the significance of the white coat, along with readings from scripture and the recitation of the International Council of Nurses' Pledge. Students were encouraged to uphold the values of the nursing profession while embracing their role in promoting health and alleviating suffering.

As these students take this next step in their education, the ceremony serves as a reminder of their growing responsibility and the meaningful work ahead in serving others.
