Steve Parr and Tom Crites release free video series: 'When They Stray'

Many lives have been impacted in recent years by the book “Why They Stay” by Georgia authors Dr. Steve R. Parr and Dr. Tom Crites. The research-based book addressed what keeps kids connected to church into their adult lives.

As the authors have spoken on this subject across the country, the most common follow-up question is: My adult son/daughter grew up in church and no longer attends. How do we get them back? Great question. The authors conducted a follow-up study nationally of adults who grew up in church, disconnected for a year or more, and returned. They asked them to share the influences that prompted their return. The responses are powerful and relevant to those who have someone they care for, such as a son or daughter, who has disconnected from the church.

Instead of a book, the follow-up research has been outlined in a free four-part video series. It is the same content as a book, but delivered in four 30-minute videos that all conclude with three discussion questions. This makes it easy to plug into a group study, allowing time for discussion, or to watch on your own. And again, it is absolutely free. It is called “WHEN THEY STRAY.” The videos can be accessed at www.steveparr.net
