Sugar Hill Church and Pastors’ Hope Network are excited to announce a new partnership to provide resources to ministers in transition in Georgia.

Pastors’ Hope Network is a Christian nonprofit organization that works with ministers nationwide and in Canada who have been forced to resign their churches. The organization provides job search assistance, professional counseling, financial guidance, mediation and vocational assessment.

“We are thrilled that Sugar Hill Church is partnering with Pastors’ Hope Network as a Harbor Church,” said Executive Director Deanna Harrison. “This means the resources for our clients in the Metro Atlanta area will be coordinated through Sugar Hill while the church provides a safe, loving environment in which wounded ministers and their families can heal.”

“We are truly excited about this ministry,” said Neil Strong, Pastor of Congregational Care and Senior Adult Ministry at Sugar Hill. “We will love on the pastors and families and walk alongside of them.”

Forced resignation happens more often than most people realize. Research shows that as many as four in ten pastors will be forced out of their churches under difficult circumstances. When that happens, the minister and his or her family lose their entire community.

“That’s why Pastors’ Hope Network and churches such as Sugar Hill Church are so important,” said Harrison. “Ministers and their families need a safe place to worship while they heal. We are grateful that Sugar Hill church is partnering with us to provide a safe harbor for ministers and their families as they navigate the turbulent waters of transition.”
