CLEVELAND, Ga. – Truett McConnell University is proud to present Clays for the Kingdom, a clay shoot fundraising event benefiting the Standing on Truth Fund, which helps support missions at TMU. The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Etowah Valley Sporting Clays in Dawsonville, GA.
Enjoy friendly competition while helping send TMU students to share the gospel around the world. Every shot supports the mission.
“We have a fun and exciting day planned,” said Danny Hendrix, Associate Vice President for Development & Church Relations at Truett McConnell University. “With fourteen different stations for teams of four to shoot through, top-tier prize packages for the top three teams, a raffle giveaway, good food, and a sports memorabilia auction—it’s going to be an unforgettable day. Just bring your gun, choke, and shells and come out!”
At TMU, we want to create warriors for Christ. This is why every single student that graduates from our university earns a minor in The Great Commission—so they are equipped to share the gospel no matter their chosen profession. Each year, many of our faculty, staff, and students participate in domestic and international mission trips to boldly proclaim the name of Jesus. By donating to the Standing on Truth Fund, you are helping TMU provide financial support for many of these mission trips.
“The heart of all of this is our students,” Hendrix added. “We want them to be Kingdom-builders. These mission trips are life-changing, and many students simply can’t afford to go. The money raised here WILL make a difference!”
