Truett McConnell University to welcome homeschool families for prom event

Posted

CLEVELAND, Ga. — Truett McConnell University is excited to invite homeschool juniors and seniors to celebrate their academic journey with an unforgettable day and evening, culminating in a prom designed specifically for homeschool students. The event will take place on Saturday, April 18, on TMU’s scenic campus in Cleveland.

Homeschool students in Georgia and homeschooled TMU dual enrollment students, ages 15–18, are warmly invited to enjoy a full day of activities that include a Homeschool Preview Day, a family dinner, and a night of dinner and dancing at prom.

The day will begin with check-in for Accepted Students Day and Homeschool Preview Day, hosted by TMU Admissions. Students will enjoy a luncheon, connect with academic leaders, and explore campus through guided tours before transitioning into an elegant evening of celebration.

In the afternoon, prom activities will begin in the Nix Student Center, where students will have access to a designated area to get ready and take formal photos across campus. The evening will culminate with dinner and prom in the Harris Athletic Complex.

While students celebrate, families are invited to enjoy a sit-down dinner with special guest speakers in Carol Anne’s Café. Childcare and organized activities will be available for siblings ages 6–14 at the Student Wellness Center, making the event enjoyable for the entire family.

This event is designed to honor the unique homeschool journey while giving students and families an opportunity to experience the TMU community together. It is a day to celebrate milestones, build connections, and create lasting memories.
