Truett McConnell University unveils lineup for Friends and Family Weekend 2024

CLEVELAND, Ga. - Truett McConnell University is excited to announce the much-anticipated Friends and Family Weekend 2024, scheduled to take place on campus March 15 and 16. This two-day event includes a  dynamic lineup of events and distinguished guests, offering an unforgettable experience for all attendees.

As part of our commitment to fostering connections and community, admission to the Friends and Family Weekend event is free and open to the general public.

Friday, March 15

The weekend kicks off with a spectacular array of activities on Friday from 1 p.m.to 6 p.m. Attendees can enjoy food trucks (for purchase), lawn games, athletic events, campus tours, alumni gatherings, and other family-friendly outdoor entertainment. The main events, hosted at the Student Wellness Center, will open its doors at 6 p.m.

The highlight of Friday evening is the presence of renowned women’s rights activist and 12-time All-American Swimmer, Riley Gaines. Known for her advocacy for equality and fairness, Gaines will share her remarkable journey and experiences challenging the regulations of the NCAA and the International Olympic Committee. Her compelling insights into defending women’s single-sex spaces promise to be both enlightening and thought-provoking.

Following Gaines, the Dove-Award and Grammy-nominated Christian band, Sanctus Real, will take the stage as part of The UnReal Tour. Joining them are the sensational acts Unspoken & JJ Weeks. The night will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display on campus.

Saturday, March 16

On Saturday, the campus will be opened for events including conversations with TMU’s President Emir Caner, supporting the TMU Bears at TMU spring athletics events, campus tours, alumni gatherings, and other family-friendly outdoor entertainment on campus. We welcome everyone to join us in celebrating TMU’s mission, which is ‘to equip students with the Truth, through a Biblically-centered education, to fulfill the Great Commission.

This weekend is an opportunity to showcase our commitment to this mission and emphasize our dedication to ‘Standing on Truth’ in all aspects of university life.
