A wonderful Father who sees

Psalm 139 is probably my favorite, for it resounds the character of God and His care for His children. David begins the Psalm stating the LORD had “searched Him and known Him.” The God who “knows all things,” was looking for something He could reward in David.
Great parenting advice! Rather than always looking for something to correct in our children and grandchildren, find things you can compliment and reward.
David is amazed not only the kindness of God but also the involvement of God in His life. “You know my sitting down and rising up,” or, the times you sit and rise from your favorite chair.
When I was a small child I would get up in the middle of the night and eat my favorite cereal, He was aware. He sees me, is interested in me, and this comforts me. Hagar could not believe that God was aware of her circumstances and cried, “Thou God seest me” (Gen. 16:13).
There is nothing that takes place in our lives that God does not know and care about. What a wonderful Father.
