Lead Pastor

Union Grove Baptist Church (McDonough, GA) is seeking God’s direction in finding our next Lead Pastor. In addition to meeting Biblical qualifications (1 Timothy 3; Titus 1; 1 Peter 5) he should be passionate about sharing God’s Word and the Gospel through preaching, teaching, and personal interaction. We are looking for a Pastor who possesses strong communications skills and a proven ability to build and lead a team of staff and volunteers dedicated to serving God, the church, and the community. UGBC desires to grow spiritually and numerically as we spread the Gospel beyond our walls to our community and the nations. The Union Grove congregation is diverse in age, backgrounds, and experience with a strong core of Bible believers who pursue opportunities to put Biblical principles into action. The successful candidate must have a track record of cross-generational engagement, with an ability to help bridge the gaps and to help guide the church in hearing, following, and applying God’s Word. Union Grove is a welcoming church in a strategic location with open doors regardless of where an individual is on his or her spiritual path. In addition to having an appropriate level of theological education and experience, our next pastor must have a heart for seeing the lost come to faith as well as helping believers mature on their spiritual journey.
