Find your inspiration

Scripture for today: 2 Timothy 3:16-17.

The best source of wisdom comes from the Bible. If you really want to make the most of your life, then you will read and apply the words of Scripture.

The Bible was written in three languages (Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic) over 1,500 years on three continents by approximately 40 authors. Writers include shepherds, kings, prophets, fishermen, a farmer, and a Pharisee to name a few. These men were inspired by God, and He used their personalities, circumstances, and literary styles to communicate the thought, words, and phrases that He desired for us to know.

As such, Scripture is God breathed. It tells us what to believe and how to behave. But more than that, the Bible tells us how we can know God.

How much time do you spend reading God’s Word? Is Bible reading a priority in your Life? How can you make time for Bible reading?

This devotion is based on Marty McLain's book "The Crown has Fallen: A Study of the Kings of Judah."
