In October Spring Place Baptist Church in Chatsworth and Pastor Brad Boynton took it upon themselves to lead in a community-wide youth event. For that the church contacted Team Impact, a group of Christian strongmen who preach a gospel message combined with feats of strength.
Members of Spring Place, said Boynton, committed to do three things: pray for the event, promote it by inviting others, and participate it in that week. “We were believing God for big things and praying John 11:40 every day leading up to it,” said Boynton. “Then it happened! God showed up in our community and our church.”
During a week’s time, Team Impact members were able to speak in all 11 Murray County schools and share with approximately 6,900 students. Meanwhile at church events, Boynton reported 1,700 in attendance with 120 professions of faith.
“We were able to see children, students, adults, and even whole families get saved,” he said. “Some of those people gave their information to six other churches in the community so those churches could follow up with new believers and celebrate with them through baptism.”
