WILLIAMSTOWN, Ky. — More than 2,000 people responded to the gospel during the Answers in Genesis 40 Days & 40 Nights of Christian Music festival in Kentucky, according to the organization’s founder, Ken Ham.
According to Answers in Genesis, tens of thousands of people attended this summer's musical event, dubbed 40/40, between Aug. 1 and Sept. 9. The organization invited more than 150 artists to perform during the course of the festival, held at the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum attractions in northern Kentucky. Visitors to the Creation-themed park and museum were able to attend the concerts as part of the cost of admission.
Ham wrote on his blog Wednesday that 2,047 individuals responded to the gospel message during the festival. He indicated that plans were already in the works for next year’s event. Ham wrote, “We never stop; we’re always doing something to do our best to reach as many people as we can with the truth of God’s Word and the gospel.”
Nearly 2,000 people attended the festival’s finale on Saturday, filling the auditorium to hear Dove and American Music Award winners CAIN. "That evening, 120 people that we know of responded to the gospel,” Ham wrote.
