The Lord has appeared [a]of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.” ~ Jeremiah 31:3
We as God’s children never have to question His love for us.
Jesus said, “Greater love has no man than this, than He lay down His life for His friends. (John 15:13).” The eternal God robed in flesh and blood (Heb. 2:14), suffering and dying on a cross outside the city (Heb. 2:12), bearing our sin (2 Cor. 5:21), satisfying God’s wrath (1 John 2:2), rising victoriously over death, hell, and the grave (John 24:6) forever settles the question of God’s love. Not to mention, consider His constant watch care over our souls in intercession (Heb. 7:25), Christ working as our Advocate ever-defending (1 John 2:1), His daily provisions (Matt. 6:11), loving corrections (Heb. 12), and keeping of our souls by His own power (2 Tim. 1:12) – all these assure us of His love.
No matter what life brings, let it forever be settled in our mind that God has loved us with an everlasting love (Jer. 31:3) and no one nor anything can ever separate us from that eternal ever-present love (Rom. 8:31-39). Nothing!
Despite feelings wavering, friends doubting, family wondering, the enemy accusing … O How He Loves You and Me.
