ATLANTA — Georgia Right to Life announced winners of the 2026 True to Life Oratory & Film Contests on Tuesday, April 21.

NAHUNTA, Ga. —Georgia Baptist Disaster Relief has begun deploying volunteers and equipment to help meet needs in Brantley County, where wildfires have destroyed dozens of structures and evacuations have been ordered. The blazes have prompted Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp to declare a state of emergency for more than half of the state's counties.

CARTERSVILLE, Ga. — What began as a simple question after attending a service in another city turned into a community-wide movement for students in Cartersville. For the first time, Tabernacle Baptist Church hosted a student-focused Good Friday service during the school day—an event designed to give teenagers a clear, accessible opportunity to engage the gospel in the middle of their normal routine. Nearly 900 students gathered together in worship, 63 made first-time decisions to follow Jesus, 81 made decisions to move forward with baptism, and 71 recommitted their lives to Christ.

A locally renowned musician found himself sitting in the one-room jail cell of the local police station. In addition to an illustrious career as a pianist in a band, he was his community’s cantor.
