Bible study: God is omnipotent

The theoretical question has been asked many times: If you had any superpower, what would it be? Would you choose to be invisible, fly, or live underwater? When placed together, the words “super” and “power” indicate something extraordinary and impressive. Of course, superheroes are not real, and superpowers are not at anyone’s disposal.

Last week, we looked at a pivotal event in Caesarea Philippi. In the center of paganism, Jesus addressed His nature and the character of His Kingdom. Under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Peter confessed Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. Then Jesus shared with His disciples what was waiting for them in Jerusalem. He was on a search-and-rescue mission from heaven, and that mission would ultimately lead to His sacrificial and atoning death on the cross.

MARIETTA, Ga. — Pastor Joseph Marshall Reinhardt, a Southern Baptist minister for more than 75 years, went home to meet his Creator and Savior at age 101 on March 11, 2026.  He was born on Dec. 1, 1924, to his parents, Tom and Elizabeth Reinhardt of Waleska, Georgia.

ATLANTA — Hundreds of pro-life Georgians gathered at the State Capitol on Thursday, March 12, for the 2026 Georgia March for Life, despite the cold temperatures and threat of rain. Speakers urged the crowd to defend unborn children, support mothers in crisis, and press forward with what keynote speaker David Bereit called renewed conviction in the post-Roe era.

Tutoring centers are ubiquitous in South Asia, according to Crawford Kaiser, International Mission Board missionary. “It’s a bunch of local folks trying to provide tutoring,” he explained with a smile.

KANKAKEE, Ill. — Journey Church in Kankakee suffered severe damage from a tornado that tore through the community on Tuesday evening, March 10. The church, located on the south side of town near the Aroma Park area, lost two-thirds of its roof, with the remaining portion receiving significant damage.
